I personally find that it burns a little intensely for a hemp wick. Because the flame gets pretty big. Maybe it's because I keep the wick parallel to the ground when I light it because I'm using a bowl and that's the easiest way to put it in there. This ensures the best taste and smell of whatever you smoke, as long as a hint of beeswax doesn't bother you. Although cheap, it was a great investment and I'm sure I'll use it to the fullest. I also get ash everywhere because I have to blow out the flame to stop it. I wish I could rate this a 3.5 instead of a 4, but that's good enough for a 4 if you're on a tight budget. If not, I would buy a slightly higher quality hemp wick for your smoking pleasure. Hope that helps!
