I have a receiver that connects to a pop up monitor on the dash of my truck with a hidden cable to the rear window. I connected the power to one of Ford's auxiliary switches so I can turn it off when not in use. From the receiver on the rear window to the transmitter (transmitter) in the all-metal fifth wheel, and it always works. The transmitter is located in this terminal box and is live connected to the parking light. If the truck's headlights don't shine through the pigtail, the sensor won't light up either. This setup allows me to connect the fifth wheel as usual without having to think about an additional camera connection. It works perfectly. I had to buy additional connectors like a barrel RCA connector and also a BNC connector for my camera, but the connection of every camera and monitor is different and not all use RCA connectors. I am very happy with my purchase. Make sure you connect all red wire ends to a 12 volt power source or it won't work. The receiver does not have a ground wire and can be grounded through the RCA shield. The transmitter has both power and ground, and both must be connected. When properly connected, it also powers the camera.
