I bought these to replace an expensive GE smart plug I bought 3 years ago which is already dead. It took me a while to find one that would work with SmartThings as most of the smart jacks currently available will not work with a hub. When delivered, the first of the pair is simply and correctly configured. The second challenged me as he didn't want the program to recognize him during the installation process. I went for a while and it worked when I came back. I've been using them as part of my automatic daily lamp routines for a few months now and they have proven to be reliable. In terms of money, I think that if I only work with them for a year I'll still have the edge because they cost about 1/6 the price of the same GE unit I bought in 2018.
