Installation was a breeze, well because i've replaced outlets in my house before, with live wires too, so i'm kinda used to this, but you will need to have some experience working with electrical else I'd advise you ask someone more experience to help with installation to avoid getting electrified. Anyway, it works right out of the get-go, once installed, both AC outlets and the charging ports are working perfectly. The AC outlets are also temper resistant which is very helpful when there's kids in your home, this will prevent them from poking metallic object into the prongs and get electrified. As for charging, it charges my LG G7 phone pretty quickly with the USB type C cable. It's great to have in your bedroom to clear up dangling USB cables on your night stands.
