Review on ๐Ÿšด Giro Bravo Gel LF Cycling Gloves for Men - Optimized for Road Cycling by James Gregg

Pretty good road gloves with long fingers but they are VERY SMALL

I ended up ordering two pairs of these gloves - one for me and one for my 11 year old son. My son loves his winter cycling gloves, but it's so hot in Texas in July that he finally had to admit his hands were too sweaty. Likewise, I wanted to switch from the typical short-finger road gloves to long-finger gloves because I've read that long-finger gloves offer much better impact protection and many critically-hit riders use them for that reason. These gloves are one of the only long fingered summer road gloves from a reputable company. When they arrived they were VERY SMALL in my case and my son's for the size listed and we had to return them both a size up. I ordered a small one for my son. He used to always wear a child size and no adult size fit him. I thought now that he's 11 he might be able to carry small adults, but these turned out to be snug for him (and his hands are still very small). Likewise, I usually wear XL and can fit into large gloves with short fingers. I was able to squeeze into XL with these gloves, but they were quite uncomfortable. I sent them back and received an XXL that fits perfectly. I would also like to mention that when my son's gloves arrived, long threads were already sticking out on one of them and were beginning to unravel. The pads in both gloves aren't great (I didn't find much real cushioning and no noticeable "gel"), but better than a regular unpadded palm. Overall they're ok (padding isn't great, but you get what you pay for) and they're pretty small - that's the main thing.

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
  • Easy to repair
