RAID 1 error on a new standard Dell computer running Windows 10

OWC usually has a good reputation for the quality of Apple centric products so I decided to give it a try as I have a 2 -Hard drives USB need drive. an attached RAID system that would allow me to use my own high quality drives. I tried this with two brand new expensive drives (which I tested separately when I had problems) and set the unit to RAID-1 following the instructions. RAID-1 seemed to work: I could see the drive in Windows, format it and write to it, and the size indicated it was running in RAID-1 mode, not RAID-0 mode. But every time I unplugged it (cleanly) and plugged it back in, the formatting was gone and I had to start over. I contacted OWC tech support after the first few times and followed their instructions to reset the RAID-1. Nothing helped. They then suggested that I could send it back to them for warranty support. As this is a brand new unit I have returned it to Revain for a refund. It might work fine with an Apple device and OSX, which would be fine, but no way (and I've made it clear that I've used this with Windows 10) has OWC suggested that this should be the problem.
