Review on ๐Ÿธ Franklin Sports LED Badminton Rackets for 2 Players, Multi-Colored by Patrick Hilzer

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A brand new badminton game in the dark that is a lot of fun. UPDATE: until the lights come on!

UPDATE: It was a fun game until one of the shuttlecocks popped a light after not much use. I'm still trying to find out if replacement bulbs are available. This is a great new game, especially for summer nights when everyone wants to play outside until the sun goes down. This is clearly not a professional set, it's just for fun and a lot of fun. The most fun is watching the racquets in the dark, floating as if by magic. We laughed so hard playing with it! Shuttlecocks weighing 9 grams are almost twice as heavy as normal shuttlecocks, which weigh 4.75-5 grams. The weight takes some getting used to, but like any other sport, you get used to how strong the momentum it takes to get the bird where you want it. An additional advantage of LED shuttlecocks is that they are very easy to find when you go into the bushes. The racquets appear to be quite durable. I wish the strings glowed like an optical fiber in the design - it's more like a bright car key flashlight - but the light that's there works well enough for its intended purpose. If I have any problems at all, it's with the packaging. . The set comes in a flat plastic pack with the shuttlecocks pressed flat. For three days they still do not have an even shape - see photo. I recommend this set for fun in the dark. This is by no means a professional set, but I don't think that was ever the goal. When it's all about having fun, this little set will pack a punch.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • A little maintainability
