This is quite a nice toothbrush. I first bought this for my son but when my youngest daughter saw the happy little hippo she asked if she could take it instead. So I would say that this automatic toothbrush is gender neutral. The toothbrush is cordless and only needs to be charged before use. This happy hippo has two grooming options. There is a silicone head and a regular toothbrush head. I think my daughter is probably better at brushing her teeth with a silicone mouthpiece. At least I know that more teeth are touched than with a single brush head. I don't like silicone scrubs or toothbrush heads, but learning good oral hygiene is a process. This cheerful hippopotamus is small and fits well in children's hands. It's easy to use and easy for me to clean. I do believe that more teeth are brushed with a silicone tip than with a toothbrush head. This is a hopeful toothbrush for her. A gentle vibration also helps to separate leftover food.
