My little one is very independent when it comes to brushing his teeth, but he doesn't do very well with a regular toothbrush unless his mom does it for him. This allows it to cover more floor space when cleaning and I feel a little more comfortable knowing the back half is being cleaned as well. Has 3 different vibration and light settings. We use the first setting the most, and he likes the feel of it.

This is a really cute toothbrush. The design is nice and the handle is a good size. The U-shaped brush is a good idea and I think it will help kids clean each tooth. However, I find them too big for very small children. My daughter just turned 2 and I find the mouthpiece too wide for her. It's too big to fit in her mouth. The smaller piece/device (the more traditional tip) suits her better. She is easy to use and loves the feel of the silicone bristles.

You also get a regular toothbrush if your kid doesn't like the U-shaped brush. In theory, the U-shape is great - getting all your teeth at once; however, it must fit in your child's mouth. This is quite a nice toothbrush. I first bought this for my son but when my youngest daughter saw the happy little hippo she asked if she could take it instead. So I would say that this automatic toothbrush is gender neutral. The toothbrush is cordless and only needs to be charged before use. This happy hippo has two grooming options. There is a silicone head and a regular toothbrush head. I think my daughter is probably better at brushing her teeth with a silicone mouthpiece. At least I know…
