Great for storing a 13" wheel and tire under a jet ski trailer. A very inexpensive and efficient way to stock spare parts.

It was very heavy and the threads could go deeper. I ended up placing a block of wood behind the metal crossbar it was attached to. This block of wood allowed the threads to expand to allow the lug nuts to be screwed on.

Although this wheel has four holes, it is too wide. Tried setting it up, but didn't work. The part fits when you "ride" it, and it ruins the threads and scrapes the paint off the rim. Even harder to get off. If I had a replacement, I would check the fit. But it's used, just not very practical.

The price is excellent. This is a simple fix. The only downside is that it slides back and forth on the trailer frame. When sliding forward, the tire collides with the winch handle. When sliding back, the tire rubs against the hull of the boat. I've tightened it to the point where the U-bolt is starting to warp and I don't want to bend the rim. The inner surface of the U-bracket may need to be roughened to prevent slipping.

Unbelievable unbelievable this item arrived and completely useless right out of the box. NUTS DO NOT CUT BOLT! Yes, I yelled that sentence. This spare wheel holder cannot be mounted because the nuts do not match the threads of the bolts. It has NO fuse as the NUTS CAN'T THROW THE BOLT! So the value of my money is zero. Do not buy. I am 58 years old and own a boat. I'm KMOW when nuts don't get screwed on bolts. Oh yes, it's MADE IN CHINA!

I bought a new trailer and needed a way to attach the spare tire to the trailer. I welded a piece of sill on the right side in front of the right wheel and welded a u-bolt to the sill and metered lock onto a mounting nut and added a chain through the wheel and around the tire to the trailer's metal frame. This mount was a lot cheaper than the off the shelf mount and the tire is closer to the trailer body. Create your own bracket with this U Bolt. I recommend for DIYers.

Works great! As mentioned in other reviews; it's not all weather. I store my trailer indoors which is very convenient. But of course, pulling it in the rain is a real possibility. For outdoor stored trailers or boat trailers where the planned spare tire storage area may be permanently submerged, I would consider looking elsewhere.
