I bought a new trailer and needed a way to attach the spare tire to the trailer. I welded a piece of sill on the right side in front of the right wheel and welded a u-bolt to the sill and metered lock onto a mounting nut and added a chain through the wheel and around the tire to the trailer's metal frame. This mount was a lot cheaper than the off the shelf mount and the tire is closer to the trailer body. Create your own bracket with this U Bolt. I recommend for DIYers.
