Description of Tigar SUV Ice 225/60 R17 103T winter

The Tigar SUV Ice winter tire for crossovers and SUVs was developed by Michelin, which owns this Eastern European brand. As a result, buyers have the opportunity to purchase a tire that belongs to the economy segment only in terms of cost. In terms of operational properties, this model successfully competes with analogues, at least in the middle price range. The market launch in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan was preceded by large-scale tests. They were attended by ordinary drivers who were provided with tires of this model free of charge. Each of them, operating his car in normal mode, drove at least 5 thousand kilometers. This allowed the manufacturer to finally make sure that the choice of certain technical solutions was correct and to find opportunities to modernize the model in the future. One of the features of the tire is the tread pattern. Although it is made in a V-shaped design, it is distinguished by several original solutions. First of all, these are the increased dimensions and the longitudinal arrangement of the longitudinal blocks in the central part. They are interconnected by rigid bridges, due to which, in addition to a large area of the contact patch, directional stability at high speed is ensured. At the same time, the location of the longitudinal edges at an acute angle prevents lateral slips. On winter surfaces, the grip properties of the tire are provided by a whole range of solutions. One of them is numerous spikes, forming 10 continuous rows. The reliability of their retention and the ability to remain in a vertical position is achieved by using a two-layer compound. The bottom layer is made very rigid, and it is on it that the spikes are fixed. The outer part of the tread has increased elasticity, allowing it to fit more closely to the road surface. This provides multiple lamellas with better efficiency. The main features of the Tigar SUV Ice are a design adapted to bad roads; - a two-layer tread; - numerous spikes and sipes improve grip on ice; - a double carcass ensures reliability and long service life; - stability on asphalt at any speed, thanks to the longitudinal arrangement and large dimensions tread blocks

Type of review

215/60/R17 100 T XL spike. Third winter on the Ford Kuga. It happens half a winter without snow, I drive on asphalt, but not a single spike has fallen out. Wear is normal. I think for 3-4 more seasons. I don't recognize the slip. To be honest, I bought based on the price and was pleasantly surprised by the worthy quality. On ice and packed snow

Good product for me, no problems at all.

Good afternoon. Bought this tire at the end of February. "In reserve" so to speak. I didn't read the reviews and specs. In the fall, I looked at the state of the old "winter" kit and decided not to wait another season, but to install a new one right away. It was here that I decided to read the reviews on it and was a little "despondent". Noisy. There is no holder. Everything slides, etc. Etc. I came to the garage and looked at the kit carefully. Yes, the slats are straight, but . They are and…

Pros
  • Grip on ice and snow. Wet handling.
Cons
  • Noisy. Spikes of the old design. They stick out strongly. Gotta roll.

Logan was on the summer Tigar High Performance, the feeling of rubber for 3 seasons and 50,000 km has always been accompanied by softness, silence in motion and handling in the rain. In the hope that Tigar is a subsidiary of Michelin and the choice of winter tires on the new Kaptur car did not stand, studded Tigar. At the beginning, I was embarrassed by the noise when driving, but rolled up, but otherwise there are no advantages, as it is written in other comments, it burrows, it immediately…

Pros
  • Nothing.
Cons
  • Road grip. ABS and ESP work all the time. Riding only in the city, the driving mode is calm, because. any acceleration causes fear of loss of control.

In general, I recommend, the price is consistent with the quality, probably the quality will even be better, time will tell, because. It hasn't been winter yet, but there has been ice. It will always be noisy with studs on asphalt, but I don’t agree with Velcro for my region and climate (I already tried it). We'll ate the review. The end of January, snow, ice and so on was and will be. Rubber is well controlled; no matter how hard you try, the car rarely turns on the electronics (ABS, ESP.)…

Pros
  • The price is good, the manufacturer is proven. Handling suits me, the noise is no more, no less than on any previous tires and on past cars.
Cons
  • Balancing is not very, but not fatal. Like all Tigars :)

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

It stands on Qashqai 2022, the price is excellent, it was balanced quickly and without problems, it rows and rides perfectly, both on ice, on snow, asphalt and slush)) I tested it both on the highway and in the country and in the recent snowfall . happy as an elephant The only minus is the hum, when I put it after 90-120, like a Boeing turbine))) up to 90 and after 120, like everyone else, after about 3000 km, the hum subsided, usually manifests itself on dry pavement at + temperature . In…

Pros
  • 1 price 2 perfectly balanced 3 patency 4 stability on different surfaces
Cons
  • hum

The worst purchase in my life, don't repeat my mistake

bought them out of desperation in finance. wheels unmanaged from the word, absolutely! they hold neither ice, nor snow, nor porridge, nor even asphalt. you go and constantly think about how the car will behave. constant demolitions, slips always and everywhere. there is no mention of any permeability. I would never wish these wheels on anyone. stand on Mitsubishi Outlander 4WD. more than 20 years of experience.

Pros
  • Nothing
Cons
  • these wheels, one big flaw

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Everything is fine, there are only minor drawbacks.

I recently put 235-65-17 on a Kia Sorento. So far, unfortunately, the impression is not very good: the rumble is like in an airplane) let's see what happens next. ate on the results of winter. Either I got used to it, or the tires became quieter, but after a couple of days I stopped noticing the noise. Managed quite well, brakes too. but not easy to get out of the rut. Of course, this is not Michelin and not Hakka, but for the money it’s a good option that does not imply aggressive driving.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Hum, poorly balanced

Great quality, happy with it one hundred percent!

Fits a Mazda CX7. I ran it on dry asphalt, about 1000 km - all the spikes are in place. The tire is quiet, soft, handling is good. I haven’t seen deep snow yet, but it behaves normally on slightly snowy roads, icy and rolled snow (I don’t drive too fast and aggressively - everything is fine within the framework of traffic rules). Manageability without complaints. It does not transmit small things to the steering wheel, it drives normally over bumps and potholes at a sane speed. Quality over…

Pros
  • Quiet, soft, manageable. Excellent price.
Cons
  • Didn't reveal.

One of the best offers, glad I bought it.

Installed on Renault Trafic. I ride for a month. No particular noise was noted. I haven't been able to test it on snow or slush yet. On ice a couple of times. They did not slip until the ESP was activated and the ABS never worked. Prior to them, Nordman 4 used. These worked ABS even on asphalt. NOT noisier than summer "tseshek". Beads I really noisy front of the floor and doors. 50/50 city-highway mode. Daily 300-350 km. So far not disappointed.

Pros
  • Good mid range tires. Made in Slovenia.
Cons
  • No

Some minuses and no pluses, do not buy.

With its pros: Quiet, comfortable. Holds up well on any winter road. On snow - norms, ice - norms, slush is good. Cons below: On the third season went screw. 3 pieces out of 4. It was a pity to throw it away. All spikes are in place. Mileage was about 25 tons. (

Overall good, but expected more.

So far, there are no pleasant impressions. I just installed tires. The car rumbles like an airplane turbine. Maybe it will get better after a break in. I will write more. Tiguan car. Addition in 2022: Tires are quieter after running in. Holds the car well. Been out for 5 seasons now. The pins are almost all in place. But with balancing they are having a hard time. If you stand next to the tire fitters, then they do 0-0 for an hour, if you don’t look, then 20 minutes and you’re done))) in…

Pros
  • Drawing, price.
Cons
  • Hum, difficult to balance

So-so quality, price doesn't match quality.

I’m not happy with the rubber, 215/65/16, it’s more or less on asphalt, but on rolled snow, ice, it’s just g ., it became more interesting to bleed to 1.6, it was more adequate, it didn’t shake anymore. I drove 13,000 on rubber, the spikes were in place, the front wheels were askew. For a calm, tedious, careful ride, these tires will go. For intense urban and aggressive driving, I would advise something better.

Pros
  • Received as a gift from a car dealership. Better than summer. For the season, all the spikes are in place.
Cons
  • Tigar SUV Ice 215/65 R16 winter studded tire

The price/quality ratio is great, I will buy again.

The winter was without severe frosts, how the tires behave for minus 20 I will not say, it did not happen. Pros below: Frame Chinese 4x4 HOVER. And so, the first winter, from the first to the last snow, skated. The spikes did not come out, the tread did not wear off. Moderately soft, not rolling, At first it scared me with breakdowns - it takes time to roll in. It does not make noise on asphalt, on rolled snow, on very slippery knurled crust it keeps without unexpected breakdowns. Loose snow…
