Review on Tigar SUV Ice 225/60 R17 103T winter by Stanisaw Frank ᠌

Good product for me, no problems at all.

Good afternoon. Bought this tire at the end of February. "In reserve" so to speak. I didn't read the reviews and specs. In the fall, I looked at the state of the old "winter" kit and decided not to wait another season, but to install a new one right away. It was here that I decided to read the reviews on it and was a little "despondent". Noisy. There is no holder. Everything slides, etc. Etc. I came to the garage and looked at the kit carefully. Yes, the slats are straight, but . They are and there are many of them. Yes, the spikes of the old design, but the studding scheme is quite competent. Based on the design of the spikes, I made an unambiguous conclusion - the tire must be "rolled" as in the good old days). Otherwise, you will be like skating. Installed at the end of September. Of course, there is no snow in our area. The rumble is crazy . Such that people in the back seat do not hear each other. Handling - well, such a thing . It's scary to drive on dry asphalt for more than 80 . it all lasted about a month . During this time, the mileage was 500 km. And the behavior of the tire gradually changed. First the noise disappeared. Then the car stopped walking on the road. And of course looking forward to the first normal snow. To understand - to remove and throw away this miracle. Or keep driving. Yesterday it finally blew up. It snowed all day long at above zero temperatures. Melted. It got cold in the evening. The result is an ideal testing ground. Ice areas move with snow and combined when snow lies on ice. With some apprehension, I was waiting for how our Serbian friend would behave. And he behaved very honorably. Manageability at 4. ESP works only if you specifically achieve this by too fast entry into a turn. I checked the braking several times in the "pedal to the floor" mode. Also was satisfied. On snowy porridge rides sooo sure. The general summary is this. The tire is pretty good. However, in order for it to become so, it must be prepared, competently run in. In general, I recommend to buy.

Pros
  • Grip on ice and snow. Wet handling.
Cons
  • Noisy. Spikes of the old design. They stick out strongly. Gotta roll.
