Having owned cashmere (purchased on sale) for 20 years I consider myself a connoisseur of the fabric. This scarf surprised me. It came in a ziplock plastic bag. The color is much paler than in the photo (blue). It had a slight odor and could not be worn. I gently washed it with shampoo and dried it on a hanger. The balls of lint began to stick together as they dried. Within 24 hours of drying, it had more fluffy clumps. I picked it up to check and it had thin patches where there were lumps. animal hair waste. Such a shame.
