These days it's rare to get anything made out of real metal that's thick enough to inspire confidence that it can hold some weight and that's intelligently designed. But these desktop speaker/device stands fit the bill. Constructed of 1/8" (3.19mm) thick steel with a simple yet extremely effective shelf-mount design, these stands easily support my pair of 12.75" (32.5cm) tall, 7.5" wide Infinity RS1000s -Speakers. Inches (19 cm) wide and 6.75 in. (17.25 cm) deep. Designed to tilt the speakers slightly backwards, they easily support this 7.17 lb (3.25 kg) heavy speakers as this is only half the carrying capacity of the stand.The included second shelf allows for convenient storage of the Lepy mini-amp that powers the speakers for my computer.The kit includes 6mm hex head screws and 10mm Nuts attaching the shelves to the uprights with a choice of six mounting holes. spaced approximately ¾" (19mm) apart. An Allen key is supplied. This allows for a variety of configurations to accommodate different height speakers and associated equipment underneath. All i m kit is painted matte black, including screws and nuts. When mounting shelves on studs, be sure to thread the mounting flange on the shelf THROUGH the large hole in the back panel and screw the flange to the back of the panel. . This increases the strength of the assembly. See assembled image on product page as there were no instructions in the box. The hole can be used to neatly route the connecting wires after assembly is complete. Although they may seem a little pricey, they are very well made from heavy duty, thick metal and should last you a lifetime. Aesthetically, they look modern and techy, and their satin black finish allows them to blend into my desktop setup. But what matters most to me is their solid construction and smart, simple design.
