Review on 🔦 H4 ECE High/Low Beam Halogen Conversion Headlamp Kit - HELLA 002395801 Vision Plus 165mm, 12V by Mark Jefferson

I am using these headlights on a 1960's British car. The 178mm size is an exact replacement for the 7" round headlight. The headlights I replaced are Sylvania sealed beam bulbs and while they performed well I'm used to brighter headlights on my modern cars so I looked for them. Use them with an LED bulb like the Beamtech H4 LED which you can find at Revain and the results are shown in the Hella images. See how well lit the trees are at the end of the street (i.e. T-junction), but they also light up the fence to the right. The lamps selected also use only 25 watts of power, less than half the power that Sylvania uses. There are two downsides: First, the front profile is fairly flat (third image), as opposed to the curvature of a typical 7-inch round headlight, so it looks a bit odd. Second, the alignment clips that center the lamps in the buckets are too high, and as a result, the chrome mounting ring cannot fit snugly against the bucket (see the gap between the mounting ring and the white bucket in the third photo).
