Bright even light pattern

I am using these headlights on a 1960's British car. The 178mm size is an exact replacement for the 7" round headlight. The headlights I replaced are Sylvania sealed beam bulbs and while they performed well I'm used to brighter headlights on my modern cars so I looked for them. Use them with an LED bulb like the Beamtech H4 LED which you can find at Revain and the results are shown in the Hella images. See how well lit the trees are at the end of the street (i.e. T-junction), but they also…

Very happy with the jeep here.

I recently purchased Hella H4 E-Codes from Revain for my 2001 Jeep Wrangler. Living in Alaska, good headlights are vital to me. I originally considered buying LEDs, but they tend to get covered in snow and ice because they don't generate enough heat. And it's crazy to spend over $500 on heated trucks (IMHO). With the standard 55/60W bulbs that came with the headlights I didn't have high expectations. But they were definitely met and exceeded. It really doesn't compare to crappy old headlights…

Shit. Is no longer made in Germany. Made in Romania.

I'm not sure when the transition happened but they are no longer made in Germany but in Romania and it shows. I opened the box only to see silicone fingerprints on the outside of the lens and excess silicone that had seeped from the edge of the lens where it met the body from overapplying during assembly. Not impressed, but still. No big deal, right? I go to install it, turn it on and see orange fingerprints from oil streaming through the light and what appeared to be excessive blur on the…

The best $100 I've spent on my Wrangler.

I just installed them on my 2013 jk. Installation was easy - took about 30 minutes. Be sure to check out some YouTube videos on replacing JK headlights - it really helps. All you need is a flathead screwdriver, a T15 screwdriver and h-13/h-4 adapters. I would recommend the KC highlights - around $25. Hellas light is brighter and whiter than standard (lousy) halogen bulbs. The low beam is a very wide beam of light that really illuminates the road ahead while brightly illuminating reflective road

Jeep TJ perfect fit and light tint

I bought a Jeep with a cheap set of LED headlights that didn't really put out much light and were problematic. I ordered a KC H4 retrofit kit and they were really bad at light pattern and throw (I mean BAD). Thankfully, Revain's return policy was amazing. So these lanterns are a whole different story. Good heavy and thick glass, flat front. With Hella bulbs. I had to cut off the rubber grommet that secures the lamp mount to the socket because it was too thick and wouldn't seat the socket…

Good quality, quantitative improvement.

Easy to install on my car, literally the same process as replacing the original sealed bulb, future modifications can be made from behind. Looks like a quality product. The light output has increased by over 25% compared to my old H6054. (Swapped one side, bright spot measured lights up garage door on both sides, old was 740fc, new was 1150fc) There is a much more intense focal spot in the center of the beam, which should increase the range significantly. Turning the lights off to avoid…

Installing on Suzuki Samurai

My regular bulbs gave about the same light as a lit candle. Not good. Therefore, when replacing, I considered many options. This kit seemed like an easy solution to keep the standard look but actually see where I'm going at night compared to Braille. Standard samurai bulbs are 7 inches round so the fit should be snug. no When I received the kit, the packaging said 'Made in Germany', but the shades themselves say 'Made in Bulgaria'. Now I'm not a geographer. wiz, but the two countries are not…

Great light for the price! Highly recommended!

Just installed these on my 2004 Wrangler TJ to replace the stock headlights. They were still in good condition but there was an old sealed bar light inside. This is a great upgrade! I love her! Not only are they brighter than standard, but they also have a MUCH better radiation pattern. They shine where you need it, not where you don't. I never had a flash after using them and I aimed them where they light the road. I was actually worried that I would flare up because I was aiming so high, but…
