Other manufacturers' (real?) rings are too loose on the Plexiglas tube. I constantly have to make sure the ring is in the right position until the ring is compressed enough to stay in place. When I'm working in a tight spot with little space, it becomes difficult to ensure the ring doesn't move from its originally intended position. This ring is a little tighter so it doesn't move freely. I find it really helpful in a tight situation, but overall it's a lot easier to work with. I've just finished a bag of 50 and have never had a situation where the ring was too tight to fit on the whistle.
