Review on Eberlestock Terminator Pack Dry Earth by Gillian Francis

Eberlestock F4 Terminator

At 5000 cubic inches, it's twice the size of my Eberlestock Halftrack. Like other Eberlestock backpacks, it has front loading access but also allows you access from the top. The main compartment is huge and can be divided by a nylon or cord divider. Front access can be through two compartment entrances on the front of the backpack. Two storage pockets of 1-1.5 liters for accessories are sewn on the front of each of the doors. An extra one I had to buy for Halftrack. As with other packs from Eberlestock backpacks, the Terminator has a large "pontoon" compartment on each side that can be used for hydration bladder, tents, tent carriers, tripods, etc. For a drinker there is a handy hook at the top of the compartment to hang my 2 or 3 liter camelback. There is also a huge pantry behind the "pontoon" compartment. There is open access through the top (similar to the Halftrack) as well as full access to space through a zip that runs top to bottom along the main compartment. Molle straps for accessories or rifle magazines are located along the entire interior. A detachable fanny pack is located on top of the Terminator with multiple access points for accessories such as snacks, rain gear or hats/gloves. The shoulder strap is comfortably padded and adjustable via the Eberlestock ladder system on the back of the back. The belt has enough padding to support a lot of weight with a large lumbar pad for comfort. Finally, there's the option to add a rifle scabbard if you'd like. Remember that this pack says tactical and military. The 1000 denier fabric is simply bombproof. Heavy, but almost indestructible. I consider this my 3-5 day package and so far so good.
