I bought these because I liked some of the pictures on the product page and wanted some cool accent lighting. One of the lightbulbs is in the lamp that is on top of the cupboard. . All I need is a small amount of light and that fits. The effect seen through the tint is really cool, but as another reviewer said, most of the light coming through them is yellow. However, you can also see other colors. Just be aware that this is a very good accent light. I don't think anyone could use it as a reading light. For low light with cool effect I like it very much and I recommend it for this purpose.
