we bought for our puppies. A younger puppy pulls a lot and we stopped using it on her because it wasn't easy to control her with the elastic part. But we use it on our older Doberman who doesn't venture into the woods to hunt squirrels, so it works perfectly for him! Personally, I love it for its multi-grip options, which in itself makes it a great option. I would recommend and buy again. We've had it for over a year with no problems. One thing my husband hates is the clasp, it looks like a carabiner but I like it because it's not easy for a pup to disengage.
