I bought this because every morning at 4am my two dogs would bark when my early riser neighbors let their dogs out - they wanted to play! It became intrusive and the children woke up and no one could go back to sleep. I couldn't take it anymore and ordered it. It beeps every night when I turn it on and the dogs notice. I think each of them barked once, and the first night, and that's it! You learned so quickly. I take it off every morning and have a rule that it is only worn when they go to bed at night and not worn at any other time. The only thing I can't figure out is how to get out of shock mode and just switch to vibrate and beep mode. However, the shock is nothing, just a tiny tingling sensation. Life just got better!
