Review on πŸ§₯ Womens Winter Coat with Hood - Universo Thickened Clothing for Women's Coats, Jackets & Vests by Amy Silakos

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Warm, well cut, but measure yourself and read the size chart; Don't rely on your "usual " size!

Based on some of the reviews on this coat I was a little concerned that it would not fit or be too bulky but I think it fits great and you will probably love it if you consider the following. (or don't buy if it bothers you): Based on my experience and other feedback I would say: 1. Don't choose a size based on what you "usually" buy. Actually measure your chest and shoulders and buy the size indicated in the chart. I could have bought a medium due to my bust size but my shoulders indicated I should go for a large and I'm glad I did. If you're close to the measurement, I'd say go one size up (a little room in a winter coat helps keep you warm, even without layers). I didn't find the sleeves as tight as the other reviewers, but people are all built differently and I don't usually wear super bulky clothing over them, no matter how much it costs. 2. If you hate horizontal pockets, this coat will give you exactly that, so keep that in mind. Personally, I love them because I find the slanted pockets to keep my stuff falling on the floor. They don't have a button or zipper, but they're nice and deep (my very large phone fits in easily) and I don't see anything falling out unless someone lifts my ankles and shakes me. 3. It doesn't seem bulky to me, especially for a down jacket. I'm short but not skinny, and lots of down jackets make me look like a marshmallow. It's not like this. The diamond stitching helps make the down flatter than a regular down coat. An added bonus is a very low, warm hood with no faux fur collar that looks like a drowned muskrat after a pair of socks! The zipper takes a bit of getting used to because you have to zip it lower (I'm 5'1", below the knees) and it's a two-way zip so it's tricky to pull through the first few times. But it's nice to be able to open the hem for moving or riding as the coat is quite long (especially if you're short like me.) Based on measurement data. Good price for quality.

Pros
  • PLEASE NOTE - The coat has been rolled up and compacted in the packaging so you may find it thin and flat. If this is the case, you can easily iron the jackets with your hands, and then hang them in the warm sun for a few hours, then it will be swollen. Please take a look at our size chart on the left image as well as the details of the cleaning and care approach we have given in the description.
Cons
  • Wrinkled Pack
