When I first received it, it smelled. Let it air out and the smell is gone. At first I thought it was smaller than the picture but when I used it I was amazed at how much I could fit in. Perfect for my kids juice boxes, bananas, granola and fruit snacks. Also all my belongings are wallet, phone and everyday things I use. Love the side pockets, perfect for a water bottle. When I wear it as a backpack, I like that it doesn't ride up.
