Review on Fulcrum MultiFlex LED Reading Light, Silver, Single pack - Light It Up! by Clint Mcloven

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Over 3 years later Perfect

Tried almost every other light on the market. I have been using these flashlights (3 of them in the family) every night for over 4 years without exception! The case with three batteries is a little big, but it's not bad. That's the price you pay for longer-lasting batteries. The positives are that it lasts longer or 30 minutes to an hour over 3 years without failure. We have four of these and only once has there been a flickering light outage. They work best for hardcover books, but I use them for paperbacks and take a few extra pages with a clip to stiffen the backing. Unlike others, I find the light is good for one page at a time and just press quickly to read the next page. I've been doing this for many years with no wear on my arm. It takes a little time to get used to this way of using it, but that's okay. That's the price you pay for longer-lasting batteries. IMHO a good exchange. Two were neutral in hue and one was bluish. Since there is only one LED and 3 AAA batteries, the charge lasts me about 2-4 weeks before the power failure. I highly recommend Panasonic's Eneloop "Smart Charger" batteries. You can get an 8-pack and charger from Revain. Batteries are about $2 each, but I have enough for 4 years! If you buy batteries and a charger, you will never run out of charged batteries and of course you can use batteries for many other devices. A little tedious at first, but more convenient and saves money. Who wants to get batteries at 10:00 p.m.? The lamp is very useful for mechanical work and repairs in hard-to-reach places with a clamp. My wife uses hers for embroidery. Who would have thought that a cheap lamp could be so useful and reliable?

Cons
  • Negative gift
