I got both the 27GN750 and 27GL83A because I needed desktop monitors with a TB dock that I use with my gaming/work portable PC, personal laptop and work laptop. There is much less ghosting when gaming compared to my Acer XG271HU. Compared to my Asus PG35VQ, both the 27GN750 and 27GL83A feel a lot more responsive in dark scenes (although they don't look as good). Comparing the 27GL83A to the 27GN750 both are very responsive but with a 144Hz panel if I move the game camera very quickly I can still count the number of different images I see behind it. At 240Hz I can definitely still see clearly separated frames behind where the camera is currently moving, but there are so many of them that unless I'm clicking the mouse quickly it appears completely smooth. Both displays are perfect for gaming, but 240Hz is better. noticeably better in everything with very rapid movement.
