I bought this to fix random signal dropouts on my main Xfinity DVR (which shows 'low quality signal' in one of their utilities) and to replace an old splitter , the cable led into the junction box tricky. It has definitely improved the cable routing, but the signal strength received by the Xfinity DVR is exactly the same, despite needing to be powered and the signal 'boosted'. I doubt it actually does anything other than display the power LED to make you think it's doing anything. Otherwise he gets the signal where he needs it, so I can't blame him for that.
