I have been in need of medium-large size bowls for dinner for some time now, since some older bowls became chipped and cracked over time. I haven't had much luck finding anything I liked in big box stores, though I tried to go that route first, mostly because I like seeing the size in person. These particular bowls caught my eye since blue is my favorite color, and the fact that they come in a 4 pack set made them more appealing. I chose the dark blue color, which is not really a dark blue, but more of a medium cadet blue. It's still a very nice color. The bowls are thicker and heavier than my previous ones, though they are about the same diameter and depth. The shipping box they came it listed the weight at 7 lbs. So far I've been using them for pasta, soup, stir fry, rice, mac n' cheese. They're wide enough and deep enough to be perfect pasta and rice bowls. I have been putting them in the dishwasher and no little chips so far. They seem durable and sturdy, so I'm hopeful that they will last for years to come.
