Review on 📷 Lowepro GearUp Filter Pouch 100: The Perfect Organizational Solution in Dark Gray by James Hounds

Works but poor design of mount visible in outside pocket

I like the lowpro stuff and the case material is nice. The case is compact and appears to be adequately protective. Obviously it's not ribbed. So if you drop something heavy on it, you'll probably crack at least the first filter. Stupid design to make the round holders on the front too small for the CPL which comes with 100mm filter holders. I put mine in the middle of the sleeve. I also don't like the idea of a holder simply slipping into the elastic pocket on the back. It fits, so if you're fine without protection, it will work. I decided to cut out the last three sleeves and keep the halter inside. I have a CPL that I could just leave in the mount as it is inside now, 1 100 x 100 ND and 2 100 x 150 deg up the sleeves. There is room for 2 more without having to force it shut. Pulling out 100x100 is a bit tricky, but no worse than file folder systems. FYI, I use Nisi.

Pros
  • Great for small households
Cons
  • Questionable buy for seniors
