Not as advertised. best in light bars

Mediocre pods at best. So when I opened the box, I immediately noticed that the wires that power the capsules themselves had no ends. At the end of the bundle there are butt connectors with transparent silicone jackets, but only bare tinned wires on the modules. Nowhere in the listing is this shown or explained. And that's clearly on purpose as that's how they are shown in the instructions in the box lol! Then I noticed that the LED chips were a bit off-center and unusually small. I expected that, given the kit's unbelievably low price. I definitely didn't like the ON/OFF button on the double-sided tape. And why does this kit need a 30 amp fuse when it only draws 18 watts? Something doesn't add up here. So I went ahead and installed them anyway. I checked them out tonight (12/29/18) and they didn't even live up to my already low expectations. Now, when they say "The Flood," they mean it. Light shines EVERYWHERE. To the point that they are almost useless for any car. Of course, if they were 2-3 times brighter, then not that bad, but almost all the light is lost. They are definitely closer to 600 lumens than 1800. I would believe them if they were listed as 600. PERHAPS. Great for close-ups but no further than 10-15 feet. Since I had to trim the wiring harness to get them working on my quad, I just leave them as auxiliary lights in addition to the crappy halogen lights. Although her name is correct. additional beam. Because they are actually only good as additional lighting and should under no circumstances serve as the main light source. However, I find it interesting that they are designed for voltages of up to 32 volts. I have a strange feeling that I could get the claimed 1800 lumen output if I applied that much voltage to them. Although I doubt they will last that long. Okay so I've ordered some DC boost regulators and when they arrive I'll hook them up, crank the voltage up to probably 30 volts and see what happens! For the price I'm willing to experiment and maybe donate these lamps lol! Still a mediocre result ๐Ÿ˜‘
