Tried command rods that hold 5 pounds at first (so 2 strips should hold 8-10 pounds) but it can't even hold a couple of folders or a spiral notebook. There is a separate half on the back that sticks out / as you screw it in or mount it to the wall, but through that part it doesn't sit flush with the wall, everything just leans forward and then starts to disconnect from the wall . In the end, it detaches completely from the wall. I wouldn't dare try their glue as it would definitely rip through my drywall and still be sticking out from behind that blunt bit at the back. The only option I would suggest is screwing it in, but still don't expect it to sit flush with the wall, the design doesn't allow for that.
