Use DIY light to make Disney ears light up. The battery is easily accessible and great for what I'm doing with this item! The light is very bright! Can't say how long the batteries last before they die (but they ran from 7pm to 2am, at least not a single bulb has died when I was using them). I love that I got extra batteries with my purchase! The only thing is that purple is a very light purple (depending on the material used). One of my fabrics made Harry Potter's ear look dull, and Halloween's purple mesh ear enhanced the purple in the light and made them look darker purple than they really are. I thought it was white light until I saw white lights.
