I like the plugbug idea. It even has an awesome name. I love my bug plugin! It's a little creature that lives on my charger! Well, it doesn't work very well with other cables that Apple gives you, or even with the Apple outlet "bits" that you can usually click onto the power adapter. It's ok, they give you a whole bunch of new ones. you would think The point, dear reader, is that Plugbug's main downside isn't that it's too smart or too complicated for its own good. He just doesn't want to stay in the wall. The weight of the Plugbug may seem insignificant, but the plug-in-socket tolerance is quite different. While the Apple plug is stuck (in US outlets), plugbug. Not. In most cases, this isn't that much of a problem, but if you pull on the cable, the adapter will fall out. And one more thing: PlugBug makes the adapter much higher. Therefore, you should probably plug the adapter upside down if the outlet is next to an obstruction. which again does not work. The plug is not very tight in the socket, so it just falls out. I type this on the plane and Plugbug gives me a sweet look while leaning on his water bottle and toiletry bag. I hope it's enough to give the laptop a quick charge before it inevitably stops charging. I travel a lot and this seemed like the only charger I've ever needed. Unfortunately it just doesn't fit. Parts have tight tolerances (charging bits, plugs themselves) and just don't work properly when you need them most. Back to the chargers for me.
