Purchased exclusively to play music from a flash drive. The first flash drive I used (SanDisk) didn't work well, the music kept stopping after a few seconds. Then I tried another embroidery brand (Onn) and it worked great. Although there are no tone controls, the bass is good and the overall sound quality is rich and much better than one would expect from such a small device. I'm actually quite surprised that such high-quality sound comes out of two 2-inch speakers. Highly recommended. (A standard phone charger works well; the device comes with a USB cable, but no charger that plugs into an outlet. The internal rechargeable battery.)
