It was a great investment. I've used it twice while camping. Both times I was in the mountains of Arkansas where I had no cell phone reception and initially no radio reception either. However, I remembered a trick we used with those old rabbit ear antennas. FOIL The foil worked like a charm. I was the only campsite that had a worm radio. The battery life is very long. I can't confirm solar charging, but it worked for a day and a half and I didn't charge it. I love it and I recommend it to everyone.
