I took a freshly printed print from a framer friend and noticed how neatly the back wire was wrapped. I asked him if he had a car that wrapped so neatly. No, he said he used this vinyl coated wire and it was just neatly coiled. I exhibit prints year round and frame most of my own exhibition prints because they are fairly easy to frame (further framing artwork I give to my professional friend) and to date I have always used bare stranded steel and not only has it been messy, but it often left small bloody holes and cuts on my fingers. As soon as I got home from the shop I went to Amazon and looked for vinyl coated wire. My working life has changed forever. This material is very easy to work with and, as my friend said, it fits perfectly. I don't have any cut fingers and the wire seems incredibly secure. I wish I knew about this stuff sooner. And that big roll won't be ready any time soon, so buying wire this way is really profitable. As far as I know, this is one of the almost perfect products. CONCLUSION: If you make your own frame, you won't find better wire. Don't go back to those bare wires
