I'm glad someone is making this adapter but it doesn't work as advertised and its body is much thicker than standard HDMI which makes adjacent ports are useless. I checked the product information carefully before ordering and it didn't work. I called tech support, they said it would work and sent me another one. Now I see in the comments that this article often doesn't work with Apple LED Cinema Displays. I think a reviewer might be right that it's not a mini display port, it's a flash (and although they sometimes work together, e.g. when an MDP monitor is plugged into a TB port on a Mac adapters are the situation where it matters .what is what). Even when it works, it's a lot thicker than a regular HDMI cable and will block nearby ports. In this case, it blocks my Thunderbolt connection and turns my solution for using two MDP displays back to using only one. doesn't even slip completely. In short, I think this is normal for a narrow circle of people looking for this adapter. But it doesn't work on all the devices it claims, it might not be an MDP after all, and it causes as many problems as it solves in an input overflow situation.
