Works well but doesn't add much value

After owning this system for a few weeks, I've had the good fortune to run Escape from Tarkov, FarCry 5, and several other modern games. However, there are major problems with this system when it comes to upgradeability. Here are a few that I've noticed so far: 1. Asus has decided to replace the AMD Wraith Prism cooler that normally ships with the 3700x with a small, cheap, and nondescript cooler without an RGB fan. (Wraith Prism has an RGB fan). This cooler keeps temperatures well under control, but don't expect it to be able to overclock the CPU. Processor overclocks to 80c+ when running Cinebench at default speed.2. To compound the previous problem, the cooling system upgrade options are limited. The case that comes with this system is too small to accommodate a larger cooler like the Noctua DH15 or Coolermaster 212. These coolers are about 6.5" tall, and this case *fits* a 5" tall cooler. And in this case, you can't use AIO water cooling because it doesn't have any openings on the top or front through which to install a heatsink. You can't even add extra case fans unless you want to crack the case.3. Speaking of the case, Asus foolishly decided not to offer you 5.25-inch drive options, meaning you can't install an internal optical drive. It also doesn't have any mounting brackets if you want to add a new hard drive or SSD. .4 This system comes with 16GB of 2666MHz RAM. Asus claims you can upgrade it to 32GB of 3200MHz RAM, but since there's no AI Tweaker option in the BIOS, you can't enable XMP to get those boosted speeds. Why Asus chose to remove the AI tweaker option from a gaming system is intriguing. The only way to get this option is to buy a new motherboard. πŸ™„5. Good luck getting help from Asus for this system. You should be able to communicate with a support agent. They then require you to create an account just to use the app. After going through this headache, you'll be greeted with a message that your chat has been disabled. Excellent. πŸ˜’ FYI: I bought this system when it cost 1099. At this price it's a decent system if you don't plan to upgrade anything. Now that it's hit 1600+ I don't recommend it at all. Update February 2021: I replaced this system with a new case to run the Noctua D15. Big mistake! It turns out that Asus placed the GPU's PCIe slot so close to the CPU that the cooler completely covers the slot. Another reason to stay away from this PC if you plan to upgrade in the future. Now I'm stuck buying another cooler or motherboard. Big.
