I bought the Stage 1-TRUArt wood burning kit to start a hobby I've thought about for years and to decorate home projects. I read and watched many wood burning video clips and different types of wood burning sticks which helped me to choose the TRUArt set. I received the set 3 days after ordering. All nibs, a pen and a metal letter in a sturdy plastic case. Template. After reading the attached instructions, I connected the pen to the network and got to work. I started with a universal tip and drew lines on a pine tree. It took Peru about two minutes to reach full combustion temperature. When drawing lines, the pen tended to drop in temperature for about 10 seconds and then heat back up to the set temperature. i think it's ok The tips come off easily as indicated in the instructions during use. Following the instructions, I carefully tighten the tip with the pliers. After that, the tip remains tight. The handle is well insulated. There was no heat transfer to the handle. I've had this pen for 5 days now and it's estimated to have around 20 hours of use. Other than loosening the tip, I had no problems. I think this TRUArt set is a good buy for a beginner.
