The pump I received and installed made a very loud and annoying whine that I just couldn't stand. At first it didn't make any noise, but probably not because I put it up with a full tank, and then the seat also helped muffle the noise. With increasing fuel consumption, the noise increased noticeably. In the beginning it was sporadic. I could turn the car off and on again and the noise went away for a while but kept coming back. I'm not sure if they all come with that sound. It just didn't seem normal, but it was pumping gas, just sounded like it would break after a while. I drove with him for two weeks, but then switched to a Denso brand. And much happier and more confident that this pump will last as long as the original. Filter and pump changed at the same time. The original pump lasted 254,000 miles. I replaced the pump because after leaving the car overnight and starting it in the morning, the gas pedal had to be pumped to start the car. I got it right and replaced the pump and filter. The filter may have been part of the problem, but I think the pump was almost done. When it comes to fuel pumps, opt for a higher quality end product. Lesson learned. It was too late to bring back the cheap Topo brand. Probably for these reasons, they have a fairly short return period.
