I needed something to dress up a surgical wound that had been left open for weeks to heal and it saved my life. I needed something to shower with that would fit an odd spot on my body that got a lot of use (either from pressure or sprains). They were too long for my purposes, but no other bandage fit. I was able to easily cut them in half and use a bandage twice. Even when cut in half, they were waterproof (except for the end, which was obviously cut), stayed in place for whole days even when I was fairly active, and was painless to remove. Painless removal is important to me. My wound was very tender as was the area around it. Eventually my skin got a little irritated and sore where I kept reapplying the glue, but even then it was easy and painless to remove. The worst pain was only mild irritation after several weeks of constant use of one of these devices. They're great for the early stages of healing when you need to keep the wound covered and not concerned with bringing air into the area. After a few weeks I switched to a different cloth based material that stuck well but was more painful to remove. It's a great choice.
