I was concerned about other reviews saying the USB connection would loosen but after a month of use I had no problems. I use this to create templates for my work. I use mixed paper thick enough that there is more than enough light to see what I'm drawing. I'm working on a Halloween piece and have decided on a neon orange poster. Tracing paper worked the way I wanted it to, even with poster board! I can say that the downside is that you have to plug it in to use it, which makes it not portable. I've seen other reviews suggesting using a power bank on the go. I'm sure it will work. My favorite is this "light box" (so thin it's hard to call it a box). I keep this in its original inner packaging to avoid tearing or scratching as it doesn't come with a case or anything else to protect it, but the original packaging and foam sleeve with very thick foam corners fit me perfectly. Will definitely buy it again when needed. Great price, great product. Five stars! But the original packaging and foam case with extra thick foam corners are great for me.
