I liked that it was the size and shape of a small flashlight which makes it easy for me to organize my backpack. and I liked that it doubled as a flashlight as I used it to find my headlamp when it got dark while hiking. I also liked how quick and easy it was to start a fire in my stove, I was concerned the lighter would reach my stove to light the tinder but this proved to be no problem and my fire lit quickly. Also note that I do not recommend using it as a main light or fire source when you are on a long hike. The light is pretty weekly making it difficult to follow the trail in the dark but the light is definitely powerful enough to help me find more powerful flashlights in my backpack. and I wouldn't fully trust it on a long trip because it's battery powered and can fail, so keep that in mind. But overall I really enjoy having it in my backpack as a kind of multi to help me stay organized.
