There's no way to clamp the lid
I'd love to, but there are a couple of downsides: the biggest, most delusional - there's no clamp. The attached photo shows the iron popping out as the waffle expands. That means the front waffles won't cook the salt at the same rate as the waffles next to the loop. unless you get up and press the lid and it gets hot so you have to be very careful. so it works, but it's a pain! There is also no temperature control. Not the worst, but would be nice to have. It would give it a little more quality
