I bought this to inflate new tires on my ATV without going over the recommended 5psi. Too much pressure wears out the tires in the middle. I do a lot of cross country and running with the right pressure makes it easier to grab tires, rocks, fallen trees, kids or whatever you want. to drive, not just drive around. The best feature is the pressure hold feature as it holds the pressure reading after you have checked the tires. There is a small safety valve to reset the gauge and move on to the next tire.
