Review on πŸ›  Industrial Tools' Circuit Tester: Enhanced Indicator Light for Professional 6-12V Troubleshooting by Matthew Carr

Revainrating 5 out of 5

5 years and still working

I've had it 5 years, I changed the bulb once, repaired it and soldered the alligator clip to a stronger one I bought at the hardware store. I'm not sure, but if it's used in a car, which is typically around 12 volts and the bulb I'm using is rated at 3 watts, I'm guessing the current for the test light is around 0.25 amps, or 250 would be milliamps. I hope someone will correct me on this. The durable ABS plastic construction, which hardly scratches over the years, produces a clean, bright light and the cable stays intact. I've had it for 5 years and can attest to the versatility of this test light through years of ownership. It was originally useful for troubleshooting blown fuses and I've since used it for a variety of tasks including checking starter, alternator and relay fuses as I have progressed and gained knowledge of vehicle maintenance. If it's the same company that made it 5 years ago then yes, 5 stars. I have this in my car along with a $12 multimeter, a flashlight, a set of 1/4" sockets and a ratchet wrench.
