Beautiful powders that smudge, but don't worry. I have included a DIY fixative formula

I make handmade greeting cards in Jamaica (HandmadecardsbyNandi), everything has to be imported so I'm always looking for handmade alternatives. I have the Ranger Perfect Pearl powders and they are incredibly amazing, easy to use, have a vibrant color palette but aren't affordable so I bought them. The price was excellent so it's worth taking a chance to see if they work on watercolor paper by spraying water and rubbing the paper to add shimmer. Good. So when I use my finger it rubs in well and looks great BUT it rubs off a bit leaving the shimmer a bit dull. Sprinkle the powder onto the watercolor paper with a handy little spoon, I spray a mixture of water and hairspray (2/3 to 1/3) and it works great. See photos. I made a coloring with the same water based hairspray and colored the paper which also worked. As you can see, the mica shimmers and glitters, adding a wonderful glow. The color palette of 25 colors is rich, wide and exciting and goes a little far. The pouches close at the top, so simply store them upright in the box. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase but I know it's not as perfect as those perfect Perfect Pearls. Okay so I'm not changing my reviews above, just showing what the powders look like on different maps. All were simply mixed with water and painted with a brush on an f/s. 25 shimmering colors, but they all blur. I played and played and finally found the right fixative formula: 3/4 liquid hairspray and 1/4 alcohol. Hairspray sets the mica in place, and alcohol dries it quickly. This formula worked with brush, spray and spritz techniques. Use on embossing folder and with rubber stamp and VersMark ink pad, then set mica with DIY fixative formula. So buy these wonderful powders and have fun.
