Review on Engineer PH 55 Tetsuwan Scissors GT by Jelani Weaver

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very high quality compact scissors

These are truly top quality scissors. Got these on a friend's recommendation that they are the BEST little scissors for opening those pesky clamshell packages. Works great. Both blades of these scissors are almost razor sharp, and the back half of one blade is serrated to allow for smooth objects such as scissors. The handles are as small as possible, but comfortable to use for a size L man's hand. Sturdy blade sheath included. The blades themselves are thicker and stronger than I expected. Very, very well done. There are a few things to watch out for: These are compact scissors that are great for tossing in the bin. They don't take up much space, and the cover protects the blades from damage or breakage. They're not "tiny" by any means, but they're as small as you can make scissors and don't really sacrifice cutting ability. The blades are quite short but strong and in the same way the handles are small but strong and comfortable enough. There is a small notch on the back of the hinge (on the side of the handle) which I believe is for cutting wire. I'd settle for copper, or at least not hardened wire, but it's nice to see you don't risk damaging the blade if you have to cut the wire in a pinch. I have the best scissors in my size.

Pros
  • Fits me perfectly
Cons
  • Slightly torn
