Firstly, a serving tray made in China is overpriced and here's why. It's very light and while it can be used to store many things, it can't be heavy. This isn't a tray that takes rough treatment well. Sticky spills and stains are difficult to remove. In addition, the rattan strips used in weaving come in two different colors. Some are light brown and others are dark brown. It looks strange because there is no discernible pattern in them. (Maybe that's just the case with my tray. I don't know how.) The weaver seems to have run out of light stripes and settled for darker ones. In any case, I will just hide this problem with a napkin or a rug. So these are just a few things to consider if you are looking to buy this tray.
