Review on πŸ–‹οΈ Kuretake Bimoji Fude Pen - Medium Hard Brush-Tip for Enhanced SEO by Carrie Spencer

Ok but hasn't even had a few months of use

I bought this pen as a tool to use for a month in the drawing project in October. I really liked the feel of the grip initially and the length and balance were perfect for my work. After about a week or so I started having trouble with the lines I drew with this pen. The pen felt like hard felt and initially had a good spring that allowed me to draw nice dynamic lines of varying thickness. After some use I feel like the tip has split so I can't get a clean line when I add pressure, but I do get an uncomfortable jagged split line. I have never had this problem with any other ink stick and I have many ink sticks. I also don't like that you can't put a cap on the end of the pen while working. Part of the convenience of ink pens over ink tanks is portability. I'm always afraid that the clear cap will just disappear. Overall this pen is a disappointment. I liked the look and feel, but the pen just didn't hold up to the use compared to other brushes I've had for a year or two, and that was only in the three months I've had it with little use. This cap also doesn't have a place to attach, which makes working with street sketches even more difficult. It's okay, but it's better to buy another pen for your money.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...
